BILL OF LADING-PROVISION-TIME CONDITIONS FOR FILING CLAIMS

As a condition precedent to recovery, all claims must be filed in writing with the receiving or delivering carrier, or the carrier issuing this bill of lading, or the carrier on whose line the loss, damage, injury, or delay occurred, within [Number of months] months after the delivery of the property, or, in case of the failure to make delivery, within [Number of months] months after a reasonable time for delivery has elapsed.

Suits shall be instituted against any carrier only within [Grace period] from the day when notice in writing is given by the carrier to the claimant that the carrier has disallowed the claim or any part or parts of such claim specified in notice.

Where claims are not filed or suits are not instituted on such claims in accordance with the preceding provisions of this bill of lading, no carrier under this bill of lading shall be liable, and such claims will not be paid.
